Due to measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries continue to impose entry and transit restrictions for various categories of travelers, as well as certain medical and quarantine requirements. When planning your trip, we recommend checking in advance the conditions for staying/moving in the country/region/town you plan to fly to and the current restrictions.

«South Sakhalinsk Airport» informs passengers of the need to comply with the requirements and recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons*, except citizens of the Republic of Belarus, flying on international flights to airports in the Russian Federation, including passengers transiting through airports in the Russian Federation, must provide a medical document (certificate) in Russian or English with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result obtained no earlier than two calendar days before arrival in the Russian Federation.
*Including children and infants from 0 years old.
The validity period of the PCR certificate is counted from the date of biomaterial collection.
If it is impossible to provide a medical document in Russian or English, it is allowed to present it in the official language of the state where the issuing organization is registered, with a translation into Russian, certified by a consular officer of the Russian Federation. During the flight, passengers will also need to fill out a form provided by the flight attendants.
Before arriving in the Russian Federation, passengers must fill out the arrival form for sanitary and quarantine control at the border checkpoints of the Russian Federation.
Some regions have self-isolation requirements for arriving passengers. Please check the latest information with the regional offices of Rospotrebnadzor before your departure.
Russian citizens arriving in the Russian Federation on international flights must fill out a form on the Unified Portal of State Services before departure to facilitate sanitary and quarantine control at border checkpoints. Additionally, within three calendar days of arrival, they must undergo a one-time PCR test for COVID-19.
If vaccinated against COVID-19 within the last 12 months or if they have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 6 months, a PCR test for COVID-19 is not required.
Information about the PCR test, recovery, or vaccination must be uploaded to the Unified Portal of State Services (EPGU) by filling out the form «Providing information about the test results, past illness, or vaccination against the new coronavirus infection for those arriving in the Russian Federation.»
Information about past illness or vaccination against the new coronavirus infection is uploaded to the EPGU electronically based on data received from the unified state healthcare information system.
If a passenger does not have the technical capability to fill out the electronic form or register on the State Services portal, a paper version of the form may be used for complete accounting of arriving citizens. The paper form will be offered during the flight for passengers to fill out.
If passengers experience any health deterioration within 14 days of arriving in the Russian Federation, they are advised to seek medical assistance at their place of residence (stay) without visiting medical institutions.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons, except citizens of the Republic of Belarus, entering the Russian Federation from the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU—Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic), as well as from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, through air border checkpoints of the Russian Federation must present a negative result of a laboratory test for the presence of the new coronavirus infection, obtained no earlier than two calendar days before arrival in the Russian Federation, displayed in the mobile application «Traveling without COVID-19» as a QR code.
This requirement does not apply to those entering the Russian Federation from third countries via the territories of the specified states in transit or with a short stop, provided they present a negative result of a laboratory test for COVID-19 using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, obtained no earlier than two calendar days before arrival in the Russian Federation, as well as tickets and/or boarding passes for the entire route to the Russian Federation.

Please note that PCR tests are required to confirm the absence of COVID-19. Antibody tests and other types of tests cannot be used for this purpose.
