Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport terminal is fully equipped for the convenience of passengers.

Departing passengers check in for flights, check in their luggage and undergo pre-flight inspection. We recommend arriving at the airport in advance in order to complete all the stages of pre-flight preparation.

For comfortable movement around the terminal and passing through all stages, passengers of special categories can contact the airport staff to ask a question or receive an escort service.

    Stages of pre-flight preparation

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport terminal is the largest in the region and is located in the regional capital in the Khomutovo planning area, on the southern outskirts of the city, 10 km from the center.

You can get to the airport complex from the city or in the opposite direction by shuttle buses, taxis or private transport.

    By private car

If the speed limit is observed, the journey from the city center to the airport will take 10-15 minutes. On the A-391 highway, it is necessary to move in a southerly direction, and then turn off the highway to the right towards the airport (there will be a sign).

The complex has convenient parking spaces for passengers and greeters with private transport.

    By regular bus

Three bus routes run from the center to the terminal and back — No. 3, 8, 63 (terminal terminal). Travel time by public transport will be 30-40 minutes. Buses operate on the line from 6:30 to 22:00.

    By commuter train

From the railway station to the stop "Khomutovo planning area" the surface metro takes 5-7 minutes. Traveling by this type of transport will cost the passenger 30 rubles. However, you will need to walk another 10 minutes from the station to the terminal or take a bus.

To ensure transport security at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport, passengers and visitors must pass security control at the entrance to the airport.

Security control is carried out by employees of the Transport (Aviation) Security Service (STAB) using stationary and manual metal detectors, X-ray television introscopes, gas analyzers of explosive vapors, and a manual (contact) method of passenger and baggage/hand luggage inspection can also be carried out.

Rules for passing the entrance inspection

    1. Install your luggage and hand luggage on the introscope tape, after removing the electronic equipment and placing it in a special tray. Be ready to turn on and show the security officer every piece of your electronics.
    2. Take all metal objects, keys, cigarette packs, and a mobile phone out of your pockets and put them in the tray. Place the tray on the introscope tape.
    3. Go through the frame of the stationary metal detector after the invitation of the staff member.

Please note that during the inspection procedure, a security officer may ask several clarifying questions.

    Grounds for inspection

    1. Federal Law No. 16-FZ of 09.02.2007 (as amended on 06.07.2016) "On Transport Security".
    2. Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 11/15/2014 No. 1208 "On approval of requirements for compliance with transport security for individuals following or located at transport infrastructure facilities or vehicles, by type of transport"
