    Passengers of Special Categories at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport Terminal Complex

    The air terminal of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is fully equipped for the convenience of passengers.

    Departing passengers

    • Meeting passengers with disabilities and other mobility limitations at the arrival area, if notified by passengers about their arrival;
    • Providing a wheelchair for moving around the terminal and for boarding the aircraft (if you need a wheelchair, please contact the information desk at the terminal complex);
    • Transporting passengers unable to move independently to the aircraft using an ambulift;
    • Meeting the passenger at the arrival area and providing assistance with moving around the terminal complex if the passenger notifies about their arrival;
    • Providing a wheelchair for the passenger’s independent movement around the terminal;

    When purchasing an airline ticket, it is necessary to inform the airline about any existing disabilities, the dimensions, weight, and other characteristics of personal mobility devices, and to obtain confirmation of the ability to board the aircraft (preferably no later than 48 hours before the flight departure). In your application, try to describe your needs as accurately as possible. Passengers with special needs should arrive at the airport terminal in advance, no later than 2 hours before departure.

Passengers with special needs should arrive at the airport terminal in advance, preferably no later than 2 hours before departure. The waiting time for our staff member, according to the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia No. 24, is no more than 20 minutes.

    The information desk (1st floor, center of the hall) is equipped with an induction loop.
    Passengers must take their medication, eat, and attend to their hygiene needs independently or with the assistance of accompanying persons.

    Transportation of passengers on stretchers is available only with prior approval from the airline within the timelines established by the carrier. A certificate permitting air transportation of the passenger must be provided.

    When purchasing your airline ticket, please inform your airline that the passenger is in a special category and obtain confirmation of the possibility of transporting a stretcher patient on board (preferably no later than 48 hours before the flight departure).

    Arrival at the airport terminal with a stretcher passenger should be arranged in advance, preferably no later than 3 hours before the flight time. Transportation of the stretcher passenger to the aircraft is carried out through the airport medical station located on the first floor of the terminal.

    Passengers with disabilities and other persons with mobility limitations will disembark from the aircraft last. If you have informed the airline about your needs in advance, please remain in your seat until the passenger service staff arrives. Upon arrival in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, you will be met and assisted with disembarking from the aircraft, if you are traveling unaccompanied, helped with luggage retrieval, and if necessary, escorted to your transportation.

    Mechanical wheelchairs checked in as luggage will be returned to the passenger at the aircraft. Electric wheelchairs will be available at the baggage claim area.
