While still in the baggage claim area, report the damage to the Baggage Services desk. A representative will file a report and explain the next steps.

Missing Baggage
While still in the baggage claim area, report the missing baggage to the Baggage Services desk. You will be assisted in completing a Lost Property Report, which requires a detailed description of your suitcase or bag and its contents.
Required documentation for a Lost Property Report:
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport will search for registered baggage for passengers of airlines with which it has a "Baggage Search" service agreement. Baggage search for airlines with which the airport does not have such an agreement is handled by the carrier.
Unfound Registered Baggage
After 21 days from the date of filing a lost baggage report, passengers are entitled to claim compensation from the carrier (airline) for the loss of registered baggage.
Found Registered Baggage
The airline will deliver the baggage to the airport (location) specified by the passenger at no charge.
You may also collect your baggage at the airport. Upon arrival at the terminal, proceed to the information desk and inform them of your purpose.
Required documentation to claim baggage:
Unclaimed Baggage
Registered baggage with a properly attached numbered baggage tag that arrives at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport but is not claimed by the passenger will be subject to a search for the owner and notification of the procedures for claiming or delivering the baggage.
Unclaimed baggage will be stored at the airport for 6 months from the date of notification of the passenger.
If the baggage remains unclaimed after 6 months, it may be disposed of in accordance with the procedures established by the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation.
Unclaimed baggage will be stored free of charge for the first two days (from 00:00 to 24:00 hours), including the day of arrival of the aircraft on which it was delivered.
Thereafter, storage costs for unclaimed baggage will be reimbursed in accordance with the civil legislation of the Russian Federation at the rates published on the airport's website.
